Bernice was married 1938 to Albert Congdon. Albert was born February 4, 1920 in Ekfrid Township. Albert was in the armed forces during WWII. After Albert returned from the war, he and Bernice bought a house on Giles St. in east London. While there, Bernice worked at Spartan Electronics and raised their children. Albert, a mechanic by trade, eventually owned and operated a Texaco garage, during the 50's and 60's. It was located at the corner of Wellington and Baseline Rd.
