Marriage Events

• Marriage: Sproule--Beecroft

At high noon on Saturday last the marriage of Masie, daughter of Mr. Thos. Beecroft, to Mr. Arthur Robert Sproule, son of Mr. J.T. Sproule of Tornoto and the late J. T. Sproule of Barrie, took place in Collier St. United Church. Rev. G. R. Turk performed the ceremony. The church was beautifully decoreated with pink and white peonies and palms. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gray crepe romaine frock with shoes to match, platinum fox fur and pink French hat. Her flowers were sweetheart roses and lily-of-the-valley. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Stanley Underhill, in pink georget with pink ribbon hat, carrying a bouquet of mauve and pink sweet peas, and Miss Thomasine Sproule, sister of the bridegroom, in poudre blue gorget with ribbon, hat to match, and carrying a bouquet of pink sweet peas and daisies. Mr. Norman D. Tyler acted as best man and the ushers were Mr. John R. Johnson and Mr. James W. McConnell. Throughout the service and during the signing of the register, wedding music was furnished by Miss Sadie Bremner. Following the cremony a reception was held at the Country Club. Mrs. David Beecroft, aunt of the bride, wore flowered crepe romaine with a red hat, and Mrs. Sproule, mother of the bridegroo, wore a gown of black lace with black and white hat to match. Mr. and Mrs. Sproule left for a motor trip...
