• His obituary was published. Ernest James "Jim" Beecroft of Bothwell passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Beattie Manor Retirement Residence at the age of 87. Born in Chatham, son of the late Walter and Florence (Howard) Beecroft.
Beloved husband (62 years) of the late Patricia Beecroft (2017). Loving father of Dianne Dube (Christian), Dawn Teetzel (Edward "Ted"), Timothy Beecroft and Joy Smith (Brian). Adored Papa to eleven grandchildren and Great-Papa to eighteen great-grandchildren. Jim was the second youngest and last surviving child of ten children born to the large Beecroft family. Predeceased by granddaughter Ashley.
Jim was a family man...family was first and foremost. His passion in life was farming. He was fortunate to have been able to live his dream, farming well into his 80's on his farm, where so many wonderful family memories were made. He was a nature lover, as evidenced by the beautiful pine forest on his farm. He claimed that was where he felt closest to his maker. He was a quiet, dependable, lovable man, a devoted husband, a caring father and a wonderful Papa. He was his family's rock and will be missed dearly by all.
At Jim's request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with Interment of ashes at Bothwell Cemetery.

Patricia "Pat" Beecroft of Bothwell passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury at the age of 82. Born in Windsor, daughter of the late Homer and Beulah (Brush) Waffle. Beloved wife of 62 years to Jim Beecroft. Loving mom of Dianne Dube (Christian), Dawn Teetzel (Edward "Ted"), Timothy Beecroft and Joy Smith (Brian). Cherished grandma of James (Andrea), Christopher (Warren), Cassandra (Ambrose), Tanya, Sarah (Maurice), Kate (Anson), Zachary, Matthew, Jake, Joshua and Nichole. Proud great grandma of Rain, Cole, Myles, Eden, Phaedra, Theron, Bastian, Remy, Sayward, Kirsten, Kael, Grace, Liam, Scarlett, Padraic, Matt, Dominique, Rebecca and Patrick. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Robert Waffle (Ruth) and Pauline Waffle. Predeceased by granddaughter Ashley; sister and brother-in-law Donna Drysdale (John) and brother John Waffle. The Beecroft family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Interment in Bothwell Cemetery.
