Mrs. Jane A. Cook of Oakhurst died on Tuesday of last week at the age of 67 years. She had suffered a long time with heart disease but had been confined to her bed only two weeks. She was a native of Ocean township and had always lived in the locality where she died. She leaves a husband and two daughters, the daughters being Mrs. Henry C. Walker of Chicago and Mrs. Charles A. Beecroft of Asbury Park. The funeral was held on Friday and was very largely attended. There were a number of floral tributes, among them being a pillow from the ladies' aid society, of which Mrs. Cook had been a member for many years.• Her father's obituary appeared in the Red Bank Register on 18 Jan 1899.
Thomas Cook of Oakhurst died on Monday night of pneumonia, aged 70 years. He had been sick three weeks. Mr. Cook was a life-long resident of Ocean township and had held several township offices. He had served as assessor and township committeeman for several years and was one of the oldest justices of the peace in the township. He was a member of Washington lodge of Free Masons of Eatontown and of Arioch lodge of Odd Fellows at Long Branch. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charles Beecroft of Asbury Park and Mrs. Irene Walker of Chicago. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at half-past one o'clock at the house and at two o'clock at the West Long Branch Methodist church. Washington lodge of Free Masons will conduct the service.
