Catherine was born Catherine Ann Beecroft on Mav 23. 1927 in Amarillo, Texas. She was the third daughter of Samuel Richard Beecroft and Irene Katherine Leonard of Dalhart, Texas.
She spent her first ten years in Dalhart, Texas with her sisters Margaret and Claire, and her younger brother Bertram. In 1937 her family moved to San Marcos, Texas where Sam owned and managed a lumber yard and the family worshiped at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church.
On March 25, 1958 she married Everett Foster Johnson II. Catherine and Everett settled in San
Marcos where they raised two children, worked, lived, loved others, and enjoyed life together.
Catherine devoted her life to the Episcopal Church, to her family, and to serving others. She was predeceased by her youngest Son, Richard Wright Johnson, and is survived by her husband, Everett II, her son Everett III, her brother Bertram, her six grandchildren (Rebecca, Mark, Kimberly, Melanie, Kaitlin, and Daniel), and one great-granddaughter Emma Grace Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Saint Mark's San Marcos Endowment.
