• Her obituary was published in the Record-Journal on 26 Jan 2008. MERIDEN - Laura Ann Becroft, 45, of Hanover Road, wife of David Folkman, died suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008.

Born in Meriden on Feb. 11, 1961, she was the daughter of the Late Mary Virginia Becroft, and was a lifelong resident of Meriden. Mrs. Becroft was employed by Wood Group Component Repair in Wallingford. Laura was loved by many people, far and wide and her absence will be felt greatly.

Besides her husband, David, she is survived by her children, Jordan Pace, Casey Folkman, Courtney Folkman and Mark Folkman, all of Meriden; a sister, Ellen Schools of Colchester; her mother-in-law, Joanne Young of Florida; father-in-law, Edward Folkman of Meriden; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Damien Becroft; and brothers, John and Joseph Becroft.

Friends may call at the family home which is located at 831 Hanover Road, Meriden, (203) 686-1609 on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden.
