Virginia May (Asbury) Moon, 83, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at her daughter's residence in Noblesville following an extended illness.
She was born on March 1, 1936, in Anderson, Indiana to Ralph. Becraft Sr .and Mayetta (Darnel) Becraft.
Mrs. Moon attended Anderson High School.
She previously worked at Cascadden's and Yancey's Markets in Lapel for several years.
Mrs. Moon enjoyed the beach, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Deborah (Larry) Strothers of Noblesville, Robert Asbury Jr of Anderson, Annette (Patrick) Young of Anderson, Jeanette Asbury (Doug) and Lisa (Larry) Morrison of Noblesville; grandchildren, James, Pete, Autumn, Matthew, Danny, Alicia, Zacchary, Tyler, Ethan and Alissa; several great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Susan Bozell, of Community Hospital Cancer Center, all of the Kindred Hospice team especially Kara Sizemore, and all the Doctors for their special care.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Robert Asbury; husband of 4 years, Tom Moon; her daughter, Pamela Sue Asbury; and her siblings.
Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 11, 2020, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Pastor Brent Weaver of Kennard Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, Lapel.
