Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hesse's Funeral Chapel in Redding for Virgil C. Becraft, 75, of Redding, a retired Seventh Day Adventist minister.
Becraft died Thursday at Paradise Valley Hospital in San Diego following a short illness.
Elders Norman Sharp, Chester Westphal and Ned Bristow of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Redding will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Lawncrest Memorial Park cemetery in Redding.
Becraft was born in 1897 in Washington. He had lived in Shasta County for 11 years.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Verda Becraft of Redding, Becraft leaves two sons, David T. Becraft of San Juan Capistrano and Robert Becraft of Redding and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Gadreault of Merced, and Mrs. Marilyn Babienco of Milwaukee, Wis. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
