A clipping from my records, shows the burial location of Sarah (Sary)
Becroft, spouse of George Lawrence, as follows:

GRACE UNITED - METHODIST GRAVEYARD
Two old grey stones, show burials here previous to any at St. Andrew's or
St. Vincent dePaul Graveyards (Niagara On The Lake, Ont.)

SARAH LAURENCE, died 1825, age 64 yrs.
GIDEON HOWELL, died 1827, age 22 yrs.

The frame Methodist Meeting House was constructed in 1823.
The graveyard had been established previous to this time, and the earliest
gravestone which can be found was of Sarah Lawrence, who died in 1823?
wife of George Lawrence, an early Methodist Preacher.
