• His obituary was published on 18 Jun 1942. Feather River Bulletin, Quincy \endash 18 June 1942. Last Rites Held for Tom Dorithy. Tom Dorithy, native of Quincy, was buried in the cemetery here last Thursday afternoon. Mr. Dorithy died last Monday at Loyalton following an illness of several months. He had resided at Loyalton for 20 years. When the Western Pacific tunnel in Beckwourth Pass was built, he was employed on the project as a carpenter.
Mr. Dorithy is survived by two sons, Calvin Dorithy and Lee Dorithy of Portola, and two daughters, Mrs. M.E. Keogh of Oakland and Mrs. Harold L. Beavers of Chico and a sister Mrs. Son Segur of Keddie.
He was 72 years old. His parents, Mr. and Mrsa. Sam Dorithy were early settlers in American Valley. Mr. Dorithy's wife was the late Rose Becraft Dorithy.
