• His obituary was published. BEECROFT rites set Monday

Services will be Monday for James Frederick Beecroft of Olive Branch, retired Goldsmith's employee, who died Friday at his home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Beecroft, 73, formerly of Memphis, shot himself with a handgun, said Olive Branch Police Chief Frank Brown. THe chief said Beecroft's death had been ruled a suicide by coroner Jeff Pounders.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown.

Beecroft was a World War II veteran.

He leaves two sons, Don Beecroft and Dan Beecroft, both of Olive Branch, and a brother, Bill Beecroft of Atlanta, six grand-children and five great-grandchildren.
