Michael Becraft, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the age of 74. He was born on May 13, 1948 in Elkhart, IN, one of nine children born to the late Clarence D. and Mary (Tharp) Becraft.
Michael enjoyed going fishing and worked in the RV Industry for many years before retiring. On February 5, 1973 he was united in marriage to Valerie Kissinger in Tennessee, who preceded him in death on November 5, 2013.
Michael is survived by his two brothers, William (Betty) Becraft of Elkhart, and David Becraft of Niles, MI, along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Pinrod, Carolyn Johnson, Judy Braddock; and brothers, Terry Becraft, Bob Becraft and Jr. Becraft.
No services are planned at this time. Michael will be laid to rest next to his wife at Olive (West) Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana. Palmer Funeral Home \endash Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

ELKHART \emdash Valerie M. Becraft, 61, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was a resident of Elkhart Rehabilitation Center for five years.
Valerie was born Sept. 17, 1952, in South Bend to Russell and Luella (Schlotterback) Kissinger.
On Feb. 5, 1973, in Tennessee she married Michael R. Becraft.
He survives along with one brother, Douglas (Sue) Kissinger of South Bend; two sisters, Diana Kissinger of South Bend and Teresa (Alan) Czajkowski of Mishawaka; two nephews, Rob (Tracy) Likes of Osceola, Rejji Beals of Mishawaka; and two nieces, Nashell (Jim) Baines and Alecia Czajkowski, both of Mishawaka.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Valerie was a homemaker who enjoyed collecting butterflies and angels.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, 1109 Lincolnway West, Osceola. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the funeral home. Pastor Terry Staley with New Testament Bible Church will preside. Burial will follow in Olive (West) Cemetery.
