Russell Allen "Tommy" Sexton, 63, of Upper Sharpsburg Road, Carlisle, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital. He was born in Carlisle, Kentucky on December 15, 1951 the son of Collis and Marguerite Jones Sexton. He was a carpenter and worked for 9 years at Jockey International. Tom was a 1969 graduate of Bourbon County High School and was a member of the East Union Christian Church. He loved fishing, travelling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Becraft Sexton of Carlisle; his parents, Collis and Marguerite Sexton of Morehead, KY; a daughter, Christy (Bryan) Brierly of Carlisle; a son, Thomas (Charlotte) Sexton of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Kagen Brierly, Kenleigh Sexton, Emerson Sexton, Kalep Brierly, and Keeli Brierly; a brother, Harold Lee (Carolyn) Sexton of Carlisle; a sister, Roxie Kay Montjoy of Winchester and several nieces, nephews cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Paster Carma Brown officiating and burial following in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday evening from 6-9 pm at the Taul Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Donnie Sharp,, Danny Grimes, Matthew White, Damon Vice, Chad Becraft, Caleb Becraft, Randy Taulbee and Robert Harlow.
