Alan E. Wilson, Jr., age 81, of Galena, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Kobacker House of Columbus, on February 10, 2013. He was born on May 8, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Alan E. and Mary E., nee Patterson, Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Margaret "Faye" Wilson, nee Becraft, and brother, Philip Wilson. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Alan (Jerry) and Deanna Wilson; grandchildren Erin and Christopher Wilson; fourteen (14) siblings; two (2) brothers and sisters in law; and many nieces and nephews. Alan worked as a master carpenter for South Texas and LoneStar Drywall for thirty-three (33) years. He was the recipient of two Craftsman of the Year Awards, for his work on local commercial projects. Alan loved to cook and fish, and always enjoyed talking and telling the stories of his younger life. He enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball. His presence will be missed by all but his spirit will live on. Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. Funeral Mass will occur 10 AM Thursday, February 14, 2013, at St. John Neumann Church, 9633 State Route 37, Sunbury, OH, 43074. Burial will be at 2 PM Friday, at Little Slate Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, KY, where the family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Alan's memory to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, PO Box 9, Nazareth, KY, 40048.
