Virgil Ray Haddix, age 70, Jeffersonville, KY passed away Monday February 16, 2015 in the St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling, KY. Born January 1, 1945 in Jackson, KY. He was a retired mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Opal Lawson Haddix, a sister, Evelyn Haddix and brother Vern Haddix. Surviving is his wife, Linda Becraft Haddix, and one daughter, Maria Haddix Willoughby of Jeffersonville, KY. Two grandsons, Cherokee Blade Willoughby and William "Gunner" Willoughby both of Jeffersonville, KY. Three sisters, Anna Lois Gross of Mt. Sterling, Ky. Helen Jean & Monroe Fugate of Tinley Park, IL. Brenda Sue Holbrook of Jackson, Ky. Two brothers, William Thomas and Goldy Haddix of Lost Creek, Ky. Ollie James Haddix of Middletown, OH. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Menifee Home for Funeral with Pastor Scott Barnes officiating. Burial in the Curt Becraft Family Cemetery, Means, KY. Visitation was held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, Ky. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Honorary Pallbearers, Norman Fugate, Anthony Becraft, Steve Becraft, Leonard Wilson, Bob Haddix, Bill Haddix and Jackie Cole. Linda Becraft Haddix, age 74 of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Thursday, January 19,2023 at home after after an illness. Born February 17,1948 in Frenchburg, KY to William Curtis Becraft and Marie Gross Becraft. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Avid UK Basketball fan and loved to go camping.
Surviving are her daughter Maria Willoughby & (Kurt Miller), two grandsons, Cherokee Willoughby & (Ashton), Gunner Willoughby. Great-granddaughter Ashlyn Rae Willoughby. Five siblings, Sue Wilson, Barbara Frederick & (Raymond), Jane Mullins, Anthony Becraft and Carrie Becraft.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis Becraft and Marie Gross Becraft, her husband Virgil Ray Haddix, step-mother Delorice Kathryn Becraft, sister Van Lisa Becraft, brother Stephen Becraft, nephew Donnie Jay Davis.
Funeral services will be 1:30pm, Sunday, January 22,2023 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Pastor Scott Barnes officiating. Burial in Curt Becraft Family Cemetery, Means, KY. Visitation is 11:30am, Sunday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg,KY, Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
