• Her obituary was published. Mildred Diane BeCraft, born 9/2/52, passed away on 11/19/2014, leaving behind her husband who she fell in love with and married when he was 17 and she was 16.
Their love story is that bad boy Johnny BeCraft saw the girl of his dreams, Millie BeCraft in her cute little skirt, and then went home and told his mama that he had just seen the girl he was going to marry.
And they did. After she let him chase her until she caught him! :)
Millie wasn't supposed to be able to survive childbirth, much less carry a baby to term, but she had 2 girls, 4 grand children, and many that she just loved and 'adopted' into her heart as her own.
Despite some serious medical conditions, she DID NOT consider herself someone who needed or wanted another's pity. As a matter of fact, she kept trying to stay active and take care of those she loved until her health and the doctor's orders made her slow down.
John BeCraft, a retired and gone back to work, husband and providor throughout thier marriage now, having lost his true love- Because YES, true love does exist- does not want to see friends and family put money toward flowers and plants that could otherwise be used to a better cause. And the thought of seeing all those flowers for his 'sweet baby', the love of his life is pretty rough.
However, the family believes that if you would like to make a donation instead of flowers to go towards her medical costs and funeral expenses, then it would go a long ways in easing some of the difficult times ahead.
If you knew Millie BeCraft, then you likely loved her beyond reason. You rolled your eyes when she mothered you. You laughed when she told her spin on a story. You cried when she was sad. Millie was the truest person you could have met.
She will be sorely missed.
