RICHARD HARRIS DIES Richard Harris, a pioneer resident of Davis county, died at his home, four and one-half miles west of Bloomfield, Friday morning at 12 o'clock from leakage of the heart. Mr. Harris, though failing in health for about ten years, was only considered dangerously ill a month. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. J T Houser, pastor of the Bloomfield Christian church, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment was made in the Pollard cemetery. Richard Harris was born in Hardin County, Kentucky, October 4, 1833, and died June 28, 1912, and was 74 years, seven months and twenty-four days old. On the 14th day of February, 1856, he was united in marriage to Jane Brown in Spencer, and five children were born to them. William R Harris dying in infancy, John D. Harris a resident of Bloomfield, Merrick C Harris, whose death occurred November 13, 1886, Mrs. Sarah E Wilcox, who lives at Palisades, Colo., and Mrs Eunice Becraft, of Lindsay, Colo. He is survived by thirteen grand children and one great grand child.
