James W. "Jim" Becraft 74, of Indianapolis, passed away October 29, 2005. He was born December 3, 1930 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Lamar and Alberta Becraft. He was a resident of Mt. Sterling, KY for many years before moving to Indianapolis. Jim retired as a Journeyman Machinist from Amtrak after 17 years of service. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Charlotte A. Becraft; son, Jamie Becraft; step daughter, Sheila Curtis; brother, Lee Becraft; four grandchildren; a step grandson; and a step great granddaughter. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Ave. Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., with calling there from 4 until 8 p.m. Today, Tuesday, November 1, 2005. He will be laid to rest in New Crown Cemetery.

Charlotte A. Becraft 78 passed away quietly at Methodist Hospital on January 25, 2009. She was born in Indianapolis to the late Harlan and Mary Tucker. Charlotte worked as a supervisor for CH Ellis before retiring in 1998. Charlotte is survived by her children, Wayne (wife Violet), Gwin, Sheila Curtis and Sherry Dodson. One brother: Charles Tucker. Sisters: Barbara Wright, Thelma DeBoard, Martha Springer, Nancy Seddon; one grandchild and two great-grand children and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Becraft, and sister Betty Lawson. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Jan. 30, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 6 p.m. Little and Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel entrusted with arrangements.• Memoriam: Indystar.com, 25 Jan 2010.
