• His obituary was published in The Wellsboro Agitator on 29 May 1901 in Wellsboro, Tioga, Pennsylvania, United States. The burial of the late Mr. James W. Becraft, formerly of Osceola, took place in that borough on May 20th, his death having occurred at the home of his son, Leroy, in Bath on May 18th. The deceased was born in Chatham and was twice married, being survived by his second wife, who was Cornelia Warner. Besides Mr. Leroy Becraft, he is survived by three other children by his first marriage - Mr. Wilbert Becraft, of Lambscreek; Mrs. Cora Bliss, of Painted Post, and Mrs. Lena Schonher, of Lindley.
