FRANKLIN - James Alex Becraft Jr., 49, of Franklin, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 27, 1950, in Middletown, the son of James Becraft and Rose (Cobb) Becraft. Mr. Becraft was employed as a supervisor at Worthington Steel. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Judith (Christner) Becraft; a daughter, Amanda Becraft of Middletown; a son, Clay Becraft of Middletown; three sisters, Charlotte G. (husband Bill) Mullins of Dayton, and Dana Pruitt and Vicki E. Irving, both of Middletown; his father, James A. Becraft of Middletown; a niece, Abby Irving; and a nephew, Zeke Irving. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Becraft in 1999.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. James R. Compton officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mound Cemetery in Monroe with military honors by the American legion Post 218 Color Guard.
