PITTSFIELD - Hazel Beeching, 77 years old, of Pittsfield, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, in Westerly, R.I.
She was born March 21, 1924, in Oxford, the daughter of Waldo and Juna (Money) Becraft.
She married Joseph R. Beeching on Dec. 11, 1942. He died March 25, 1990.
She spent her childhood in the Norwich and Oxford areas.
She was a graduate of Oxford Central School.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (JoAnne) Gould, Pittsfield; two sons, James R. Beeching of Brewerton, and Douglas G. Beeching, San Benito, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Germain of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, New Berlin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin, with the Rev. Dwight Kenyon officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 17, 2001, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin.
Memorial donations may be made to the Otsego County Hospice.
