• His obituary was published in the Southern Illinoisan on 29 Nov 1979. George BeCraft was born May 16, 1909 in Mechanicsburg, to John and Bertha BeCraft. His siblings include Robert, Leonard and Dick BeCraft, all of Peoria, Salley Solomon of Chicago and Doris BeCraft of Peoria.

He married Rose Chiodini on January 29, 1959 in Springfield. His children include Shirley Hardin of La Puente, California and James BeCraft of Springfield.

Mr. BeCraft was a retired painter. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Murphysboro.

Mr. BeCraft died at the age of 70 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.

Mrs. BeCraft was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

She died at the age of 76 on Friday, February 10, 1989 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital. Her funeral service was held at St. Andrew's Cemetery. Pettett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
