Mary was born in Nashville, TN, on May 22, 1921, to Hewitt Brandon and Clara Mae (Hearn) Crumpton. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Engle Mead Becraft; and her sisters, Clarendine DeHart and Emily Merritt. She is survived by her nieces, Shirley deHart (Kai Lovland) and June deHart; and nephews, John DeHart (Susan) and Robert DeHart (Cindy); and many loving great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was a long time active member of First United Methodist Church and Hyde Park United Methodist Church, The Daughters of the American Revolution, and The Feather Princesses Appliquι Guild. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service is planned for the spring of 2023.
