BEECROFT, Irvine L. - Passed peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2009 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Gwen. Loving father of Marsha Summerfield and her husband Bob of Chatham. Predeceased by his first wife Margaret Padbury (1979) and his daughter Leslee (1964). Proud grandfather of 2 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Fondly remembered by 3 step-children and their families. Dear brother of Joy Pearson and her husband Henry of Chatham, Floreen Paine and her husband Murray of Blenheim and James Beecroft and his wife Pat of Bothwell. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the staff at Parkwood Hospital \endash Western Counties Unit for the kindness they expressed to both Gwen and Irvine over the past five years, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch #28, Chatham.
