Ed Becraft, 80, retired farmer, was found dead Sunday afternoon at his home on the two Mile Road.
Coronor James W. Bean said that Mr. Becraft had been dead approximately two and one-half days when found and that he died from a heart disease.
The body was discovered by Charles Dailey who went to the Becraft home at two pm Sunday to take Mr. Becraft some food. Mr Dailey said that Mr Becraft was last seen by neighbors Friday afternoon.
The farmer was a native of Bath County and had lived here some 50 years. He was a member of the Athens Christian Church.
Surviving is a brother James Becraft of Athens.
Funeral services will be conducted at on pm Tuesday at the Athens Cemetery by Rev. William Ransford.
Pallbearers will be Charles Bailey, John Crawley, George Becraft, W. A. Brumagen, Ed Brumagen and Bert Brumagen. ' The body is at the Edgington Funeral Home.
