OBITUARY FOR ANSEL RAY MANN Ansel Ray Mann, age 86, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 1 1:23 a.m. at Middletown Regional Hospital where he had been a patient for 3 days. He was bom September 28, 1920 in Dan, Kentucky and lived in Middletown since 1948. He served in the Seabee Engineer Group in the Philippines and served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. 11. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering Degree and received his license of Professional Engineering. During his career as a mechanical engineer he was employed by McGraw Construction, General Electric and Montsano. He went back to McGraw and retired in 1986. After retiring from McGraw he was an engineering consultant for himself and also Datel Engineering. He was preceded in death by: Parents: Artie and Rosetta (Little) Mann I Brother: Elwood Mann He is survived by: Wife of 57 years: Edna L. Mann I Son: Larry R. Mann, wife Judy - Monroe, Ohio I Granddaughter: Carrie Mann - Monroe, Ohio I Sister: Naomi Pieratt - Clearwater, Florida Nephew: Bill Pieratt - Clearwater, Florida Niece: Denise Gilreath - Savannah, Georgia VISITATION: Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2007 from I to 2 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 2 1 0 S. Main St., Middletown, Ohio SERVICES: Funeral services will be Friday, January 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with James Kinser, Minister, officiating. MANN, Edna L. age 94, of Monroe, Ohio passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born March 3, 1917 in Salt Lick Kentucky. She was a member of Americas Greatest Generation. She helped raise her brothers and sisters in Kentucky when her mother passed away. She moved to Ohio in 1950 and was employed at Gardner Richardson. After she married, she enjoyed homemaking and cooking for her family. She was a member of Clayton Street Church of God. Preceding her in death were her parents, Sam and Elizabeth Becraft; her husband, Ansel Ray Mann in 2007; five brothers, Espie, Bob, Jack, Clarence, and Steve Roe Becraft; one sister, Bessie Alfrey; and one half-sister, Annie Curtis. She is survived by one son, Larry Mann and wife Judy; one granddaughter, Carrie Mann; and one great grandson, Trenton Ray Johnson. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties or to the Monroe Lending Library, P.O. box 132, Monroe, Ohio 45050. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
