Charles W. "Oz" BECRAFT Jr., 34, of Resort Township, died Feb. 20, 1998, at his residence.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. The Rev. David Behling will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey.
Mr. Becraft was born July 11, 1963, in Rushville, Ind., the son of Charles W. BECRAFT Sr. and Hortense M. (TAYLOR) BECRAFT. He grew up in Rushville, Ind., and attended Rushville Consolidated High School.
On Aug. 30, 1986, he married Laura A. DESCHERMEIER in Virginia Beach, Va.
Mr. BECRAFT was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Laura A. BECRAFT; his children, Lacey M. BECRAFT and Kelsey A. BECRAFT, both at home; sisters, Linda LAYTART of Findlay, Ohio, Sherry HAMPTON of Rushville, Ind., Charlene SHELBY of Connersville, Ind., and Patricia JACOBS OF St. Petersburg, Fla.; his mother, Hortense M. BECRAFT, of Rushville, Ind. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. BECRAFT Sr.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, 416 Connable Ave., Petoskey, Mich. 49770. Envelopes for memorials are available at the Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey, where visitation will b held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23.
