• His obituary was published in the Carroll County Times on 21 Jul 1944. Charles H. Becraft, died Wednesday, July 19, 1944. at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Frank Renn, near Ridgeville. He was aged 82 years. Mr. Becraft was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Becraft. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Renn, at whose home he died; one son, Harry Becraft. Kensington; six grandchildren, and the following sister and brothers. Mrs. Gertrude Watkins, Spencer Becraft and Albert Becraft, all of Baltimore; Gilmore Becraft and Elmer Becraft. both of Mt. Airy. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock from his late residence. Further services were conducted in the Pine Grove church, Mt. Airy, at 2 P. M. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church. C. M. Waltz, funeral director.

Watkins, Long Corner road, near Mt Airy. A daughter of the late Edward S. and Catherine A. Duvall, she was born in Howard County. Her husband, Charles H. Becraft, died 14 years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Renn, Mt Airy; a sister, Mrs. W.H. Hinchman, West Grove; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the C.M. Waltz Funeral Home, Winfield, last Thursday. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt Airy.
