• He died on 24 Oct 1930. Poor Charles died at the young age of 38 from an unfortunate freak accident while at work at the Fry & Co. trucking company in Sedro-Woolley. According to his death certificate, on October 24 1930, he was carrying 80 pounds of lard when he slipped and fell backward, landing hard sideways on his hip. He was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, where it was evident that a large artery had been ruptured by this fall, leading to massive internal hemorrhage. The bleeding could not be stopped in time, and he died that day at the hospital. He left behind his wife Mae and five young children.

• Her obituary was published. Ida Mae "Mae" was born to Benjamin Pruitt and Cora Weygant in Missouri. She married Charles Earl Becraft in Washington in 1911 and they became a part of the earliest Sedro-Wooley logging community. Charles and Mae had five children: Nellie, Louise, Alice, George, and Dorothy. Charles died when the children were small from complications from a work injury. Mae later married Earl Ellenberger. She is loved and remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
