Anne was born in Brooklyn, New York to Anna Dorothy (Forney) Becraft and Arthur Augustus Becraft; she is in the U.S. Census (Brooklyn, Assembly District 10, New York) in 1940 listed with her parents and siblings (brother John born 1922, and sister Mary). When in her 20's she worked a a file clerk in General Motors Foreign Distributors Division located at Broadway and 57th Street in Manhattan. She would later move across the country to Glendora, CA where she and her husband Frank Chase raised their three daughters (Vicki Clayton, Barbara Klaus, and Laura Flanders) and one son Doug Chase. The family lived in a rambling older home in Glendora which suited Anne's taste as she was raised in an historic brownstone on Clinton Street with her parents and siblings in Brooklyn, New York in the 1930's and 1940's. In Glendora she found her niche in real estate and received an honorary lifetime membership to the Azusa-Glendora Board of Realtors. Per her obit, "her dedication and involvement in all areas of the community earned her recognition from numerous organizations including the Glendora Republican Club, and the Glendora Unified School District." Sadly, Anne died of cancer in December 1992.
