Helen Becraft Bean, 103, of Gaithersburg died March 24, 2008 at her home.
Born Oct 15, 1904, in Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Katie Penn Becraft. She was the wife of the late Everett B. Bean.
Mrs. Bean was an executive secretary at Montgomery Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Washington Grove United Methodist Church, the Washington Grove Women's Club and Pentalpha Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel V. Becraft and Eva B. Lanahan and three brothers, Herbert Becraft, Clarence E. Becraft and Henry W. Becraft.
A viewing will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Devol Funeral Home, 10 E. Deer Park Drive in Gaithersburg. The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Oak Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Church, P.O. Box 115, Washington Grove, MD 20880.
