William Edward Beacraft Sr., 90, of Elm Street, Aynor, S.C., passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Kingston Nursing Center, Conway, S.C.

Mr. Beacraft was born May 26, 2010, in Sanatoga, a son of the late Orton and Cora Gorbutt Beacraft. He was predeceased by one daughter, Sherry Mahoney; three brothers; and one sister.

After serving in the United States Army during World War II, Mr. Beacraft worked with Firestone Tire and Rubber and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pottstown, the Veterans Home Association, and Veteran of Foreign Wars of the United States.

Surviving Mr. Beacraft are his wife of 64 years, Alice Miller Beacraft, of the home; one son, William Edward Beacraft Jr., of Downingtown; one daughter, Cory Shelley, and her husband Frank, of Aynor, S.C.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Kingston Nursing Home for all their care and love that was shown.

OBITUARY
ALICE BEACRAFT, 87, FORMERLY OF POTTSTOWN Alice Beacraft, 87, of Aynor, SC, and formerly of Pottstown, passed away September 15, 2011 at Kingston Nursing Center. Mrs. Beacraft was born October 1, 1923 in Stowe, a daughter of the late Jacob and Stella Schemecuk Melnich. Mrs. Beacraft was a World War II veteran and was stationed at Fort Benning, GA. She retired to St. Petersburg, FL, from Pennsylvania in 1976 and later moved to Aynor, SC, in 1999. She was predeceased by one daughter, Sherry Mahoney; three brothers, and two sisters. Mrs. Beacraft was married to late William Edward Beacraft for 64 years. Surviving are one son, William Edward Beacraft Jr. of Collegeville; one daughter, Cory Shelly and her husband, Frank of Aynor, SC; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice and all the staff on the East Wing at Kingston Nursing Center for all that they have done. No services are planned. Mrs. Beacraft and her family are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home of 290 9th Avenue Aynor, S.C. 29511.
