GONE TO HIS REWARD
THOS. W. GREEN WAS PROMINENT IN HARRISVILLE 56 YEARS
The community was shocked Saturday, June 13, when the word went out that Thomas W. Green was dead.
Mr. Green had been in his usual health until the Thursday before his death when he had an attack of weakness and a doctor was called. He seemed to rally from this attack and on Saturday morning he arose and dressed himself and was preparing to step out where some painters were working for him, when he became faint and called to Mrs. Green. She reached his side and eased him on to a sofa, calling for help. Her husband died almost as he was laid on the sofa.
Thomas W. Green was born June 21, 1854 at Lakeport, Michigan, and spent his boyhood there. As a youth he lived in Port Huron, where he learned his trade as a meat and grocery man.
