His passing leaves his family and friends with a great emptiness in their hearts and lives as he was known to have a great sense of humor and a caring heart.
Bill was born Dec. 1, 1939, in Spokane to Albert C. and Cleo G. Krebs Baycroft. He attended schools in Spokane, graduated from West Valley High School in 1958 and went on active duty with the Navy.
Bill was a multi-talented individual who learned many crafts and skills with great ease, but spent the larger part of his working career as a utility and underground utility lineman. He learned the custom automotive upholstery trade at an early age, and in the latter years relied upon that skill to earn his living. He was well respected by his car show buddies.
Bill was a skilled horseman in his younger days, but was widely known as an accomplished mechanic and an avid car-street rod builder. Those who knew him well thought that he had motor oil in his veins. Bill could conquer any task that he set his mind to and built and remodeled numerous homes that he and his family lived in over the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Camilla "Millie" Livingston Baycroft, of 39 years. They had four children, Wesley James who died in infancy in 1964 and became their guardian angel, Sheri Ann (John) Heavrin of Harrison, Camilla "Mari" (Richard) Bone of Spokane and Matthew J. (Argenis) Baycroft of Stuttgart, Germany.
