Betty's third marriage was common-law. She lived with Clinton BOATWRIGHT for about 35 years, until her death. Having been soured on marriage, she never referred to their arrangement as a marriage and adamantly objected when someone else [usually me (Jimmie)] referred to it as a marriage.

Betty died at home at 19:38 Hrs. on 24 Apr 1998. She was cremated by Roberts Funeral Home, Ocala, Marion, FL. She had a Will. Her ashes were scattered in the Ocala National Forest (Florida) by Jimmie D. Becraft [son], Clinton Boatwright [common-law husband] and Bill Stockmaster [friend] on 5 May 1998.
