William F. Barnes, wellknown chair maker, was found dead in his bed by his wife this morning at his home in Gamber. Death occurred at some time during the night as was believed due to a heart attack. He was a son of the late William H. and Cordelia Becraft Barnes and was 77 years of age. He leaves his wife, the former Mary A. Parrish, and the following children by a former marriage: Mrs. Della Jenkins, Baltimore; Mrs. Charles Barnes, Cambridge, Md.; George Barnes, Rockdale; Edgar and Atley Barnes, Baltimore; also a brother, Lloyd Barnes, Louisville, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Herbid. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, meeting at the late home at 10:30 a. m., with further services in Mt. Pleasant Methodist church, Gamber, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Henry J. Muller will officiate. Burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery. C. M. Waltz is the funeral director.
