• His obituary was published in the Hazleton Standard-Speaker on 19 Aug 1921. Hazleton Standard-Speaker; Friday, August 19, 1921:
William Lynn, aged 74? years, ??? West Green street, West Hazleton, died at ?:?? o'clock yesterday afternoon in the State Hospital. He had been a patient there for several weeks, where he was operated on for gangrene, that had started in the toes. The ? ? out of injuries sustained July ? at the Cranberry colliery. He was employed as an engineer ? and the emergency brake fell on his foot.

He is survived by his widow and the following children: Harry, Walter, Amos, Mrs. George Keuch and Mrs. George Trevina. The latter is a resident of Beaver Meadow, while the others reside in the city and borough.

He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

The funeral will arrive in Hazleton on the 3 o'clock train. Interment in Vine street cemetery. Bachman & Son funeral directors.

After an illness of nearly two weeks, Mrs. William Lynn, of Stockton, died last evening. Deceased was the wife of William Lynn, engineer at No. 2 Stockton, and was well and favorably known throughout the region.

Three daughters, a son and husband survive her as follows: Mrs. Henry Zeigler, and Mrs. Geo. Keuch, of Stockton; Mrs. Harry Polgrean, of this city and Robert Lynn, of Stockton.
