• His obituary was published in The Record Herald on 22 Jun 1981. William H. Wagaman, 86, of 6338 Furnace Road, died at 2:40 a.m. Sunday in the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health since March and was last admitted to the hospital after becoming critically ill on Saturday evening. He was born in Quincy Township on Dec 2, 1894, a son of the late Ambrose and Emma (Mentzer) Wagaman. He lived all his life in Quincy Township and he had resided at the present residence since 1949. Wagaman was a moulder and, prior to his retirement in 1959, was employed in the foundry at Frick Co. for 48 years.
His wife, Mrs. Clara E. (Kauffman) Wagaman, died in October, 1977. Wagaman was a member of the Eagles Club Inc, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Loyal Order of Moose and a Gold Star member of the VFW. He is survived by six children of a previous marriage; Mrs. John Christman, Mrs Carl Shetler and Mrs. George Sweeney, all of Mont Alto, John Wagaman, Slabtown Road, Glen Wagaman, Chambersburg R D 8, and Mark Wagaman, Back Lane. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Ray Jackson. Burial will be in Strang's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m today.

William H Wagaman.• Her obituary was published in The Record Herald on 7 Oct 1977. Mrs. Clara E. Wagaman, 72, wife of William H. Wagaman, Waynesboro R D 1, died at 9:45 pm Thursday at the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past three years and was admitted to the hospital for surgery after becoming critically ill on Wednesday. Mrs. Wagaman was born at South Mountain, June 26, 1905, daughter of the late Charles and Harriett (Reasman) Kauffman. Her early life was lived at South Mountain and in the Baltimore area. As a young woman, Mrs. Wagaman was employed at the Westinghouse Corp. in Baltimore, and after returning to South Mountain, she worked at the Samuel Drxon Hospital. She and Mr. Wagaman were married in November, 1951, and had lived at the R D 1 residence since that time. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son of a previous marriage, Thomas Becraft, Waynesboro R. D 1, and these stepchildren; John Wagaman and Mark Wagaman, both of Waynesboro R D 1, Glenn Wagaman, Cham-bersburg R D 1, Mrs. Esther Christman, Mrs Helen Shetler and Mrs. Eva Sweeney, all of Mont Alto Also surviving are four grandchildren, a number of step-grandchildren and a brother, Edward Kauffman, Waynesboro R D 6 . The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m in the Grove Funeral Home, in charge of Mr. John Dillon. Burial will be in Strang's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p m Saturday.
