• His obituary was published in The Republican - Atlas on 17 May 1906. Word has been received here telling of the death of James Hutchinson, at Bismark, North Dakota. He had been sick for several months and the end was not unexpected. Mr. Hutchinson was a former resident of this county, residing on a farm northwest of Kirkwood. He moved from there fifteen years ago to Bismark where he has resided since. The remains will arrive in Kirkwood this evening and the funeral service will be held at the United Presbyterian church of that city at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Interment will be made in the Kirkwood cemetery. Mr. Hutchinson was a well known resident of the county. He was a counsin of A. P. Hutchinson of this city.
