• His obituary was published in the Carrol County Times on 14 Jan 1927. Vernon R. Wolf died suddenly at his home at Woodbine on Saturday, January 8th 1927, aged 33 years, 11 months and 23 days. He was the son of the late Wm. A. and Lydia C. Wolf, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Wolf; one son and one daughter; and one sister, Mrs. Ernest Harrison. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 11th at the Morgan Chapel M.E. Church, at 11 o'clock A.M., and Rev. J.J. Resh officiating. Pallbearers: Robt. L. Pickett, John Allen, Windsor Kessler, Raymond Gosnell, Jesse Butler, Samuel Duvall. Interment in adjoining cemetery. C.M. Waltz, funeral director.

Mrs. Pearl V. BECRAFT, 71, of Woodbine died at her home Friday morning. She was born in Carroll County, a daughter of the late George A. and Margaret Hatfield Green. She is survived by her husband, Norman A. BECRAFT Sr.; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Moxley of Woodbine; two sons, George Wolfe and Norman A. Becraft, Jr., both of Woodbine; five sisters, Mrs. Mamie Porter of Woodbine, Mrs. Mary Rippeon of Woodbine, Mrs. Nellie Hargett of Baltimore, Mrs. Effie Justice of Woodbine and Mrs. Clara Woodward of Woodbine; seven grand-children and one great-grand-child.

Mrs. Becraft was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Woodbine.

Friends may call at the Waltz Funeral Home, Liberty Road, in Winfield on Saturday from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 pm Monday. The Rev. Norman C. Hoffeld, her pastor, will officiate.

Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens near Eldersburg.
