• His obituary was published in the Jacksonville Daily Journal on 19 Aug 1924. The Jacksonville Daily Journal, Jacksonville, Illinois, Tuesday, August 19, 1924, Page 8, Col. 4: William T. Willard, Consigned To Earth. Final Rites Held for Markham Man Sunday Afternoon. Services for William T. Willard, well known resident of the Markham community were conducted from the home Sunday afternoon at 3 'o'clock. The services were in charge of Rev. G. T. Wetzel and many relatives and friends were present testimony to the high esteem in which he was held. The remains were brought to the Diamond Grove cemetery and placed in the mausoleum.
Music was furnished by Mrs. [?] Smith of [?] and the many beautiful floral tributes were in the care of Mrs. Alice Daughters, Mrs. Stewart McKinney, Mrs. Ada Smith, Miss Martha Gillham, Mrs. W. W. Gillham and Mrs. W. G. Gillham. The bearers were Frank Hymes, Ernest Wolters, Wilbur Williams, Fred Carter, Louis Boddy and Chester Thomason.
