• His obituary was published in The Times on 7 Apr 1939. William H. Reaver died suddenly Sunday, April 2, 1939, at his home at
Bartholow's as the result of a heart attack. He was a son of Mrs. Leanna
Long Reaver, Taylorsville, and the late George F. Reaver, and was 47
years of age. He had been employed as a truck driver by the state roads
commission for the past 21 years. He leaves, besides his mother, his wife,
Mrs. Viola A. Reaver, and the following children: Woodrow, Lacey and
Gladys, at home; Mrs. Mary Chaney, Bartholow's, and Mrs. Ethel Burdette,
Gaithers; also the following sisters: Mrs. Mary Wright, near Taylorsville;
Mrs. Ella Porter, near Ellicott City; Mrs. Melinda May, near
Medford: Mrs. Savilla Garver, near Reese; and Miss Bertha Reaver, near
Taylorsville.

92, of Sykesville, died early Friday
morning at the home of her daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Yingling of Sykesville.
Born in Gamber, she was the
daughter of the late George W. and
Christie Ann Gosnell Gamber. Her
sons, Lacey M. Reaver and William
W. Reaver, and daughter Gladys
Mae Seal predeceased her.
Mrs, Lookingbill's grandfather, the
late George Snyder Gamber, was the
founder of Gamber.,
Surviving are daughters Ethel M
Yingling of Sykesville and Mary L
Chaney of Bartholows, ten grandchildren,
20 great-grandchildren,
two step-great-grandchildren, 16
great-great-grandchildren, and several
nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 am Monday
at Burner Funeral Home, Winfield.
The Rev. Wallace A. Lusk, pastor of
Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church, will
officiate. Interment will be in
Taylorsville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.
today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and from
7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
In lieu of flowers contributions
may be made to the American Heart
Association.
