Douglas Coon, 61, of Dayton died May 13, 1999 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born in Maryland on Nov 28, 1937, he was a sheet metal mechanic.

Mr. Coon was preceded in death by his father, Richard Coon, and a brother, John Coon. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Nancy Coon; daughter Julianne Coon; sons Douglas and Steven Coon; mother Gladys Coon; sister Ida Warfield; brothers Richard Coon Jr., Jerry Coon and Nolan Coon; and two grandchildren.

Services were held May 15 at 1 p.m. at Linden Linthicum United Methodist Church in Clarksville, with the Rev. David Rimbach officiating. Burial was at Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Scaggsville. Visitation was held May 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbot Ave.
