Obituary
DIED.\emdash Mrs, Eliza Jane Conn, wife of Simeon Conn, of Thurston county Nebraska, aged 68 years.
Miss Eliza J. Draper was born in Buena Vista, Ohio, in 1840, came to Nebraska in 1893 and moved to Thurston county in 1897, where she died.
She joined the Christian Union church early in life of which faith she died believing. She leaves a husband and twelve children to mourn her loss.
The deceased was brought to Lyons for interment. Rev. Bothwell preached the funeral sermon in a very fitting and brief manner, taking for his text the 15th chapter of Cor. The choir, composed of the following people, Kate Hall organist, Mrs. T. White, Gertrude McMonies, Ernest Thompson and Chris Newmeyer, rendered several pieces very effectually. One piece was sung by request, entitled "My Mother's Dear Hands," and was very touching indeed.
The pall-bearers were George Clarkson, S.K. Stone, Harrison Waite, J. Shumway, W. A. Bull and James Edgington.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of all their friends, associates and neighbors. The Mirror extends its deepest sympathy in their hour of sad affliction and may the God who taketh the life that was so useful, comfort you and bless you forever.
