We saw her suffer day by day,
It caused us bitter grief,
To see her slowly pine away,
We could not give relief.
Gentle in mind, patient in pain,
Our dear mother left us, heaven to gain,
With actions so noble, generous and kind,
Few in this world our mother's equal, could find.
