Mr.Woods,
I infrequently visit the internet but tonight saw your message which was answered by Kay Jones. She was accurate. Robert Edward Lee Stringfellow of Brazoria was my uncle. He was a remarkable man, born in Brazoria in 1866 his mother reared him in Houston. His father died in 1868 and had lost h is fortune during the War Between the States. Uncle Bob returned to Brazoria in the l870's and lived with his father's friends, the Matt Williamson's and The Stangers.
He amassed a fortune in the cattle and land business. He did drive a model T Ford as his personal car. He also had a 1926 Cadillac Limosine with a driver. I still have the car and am having it restored now. He died in 1941 and is buried in the Stringfellow mausoleum in the old town of Brazoria. Please relate to me your father and how they know each other. I have the old Stringfellow bible etc and all of the old family records. Percival Beacroft.
