Becraft, Florence A.
ROY - Florence Elba Anderson Becraft passed away peacefully Friday, February
11, 2005 with loving family by her side. She was born September 22, 1917 in
Wilson Lane, Utah to Joseph and Florence Sewell Anderson. She graduated from
Ogden High School. In 1939, Florence met and married the love of her life,
Chester A. Becraft in the Logan LDS Temple July 19, 1939. He preceded her in
death on January 11, 1974. They were blessed with one son; Kenneth Broc and
three daughters; Joan (deceased), Cheryl Ann Larson, and Sandra Mitchell
(deceased). Before she married, she worked as a telephone operator in Ogden.
She later worked at the American Food Store on Second Street. She also spent
several years working with the Utah State University Extension Service.
Florence was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She
held many positions within the church including the Young Women's Organization
and president of the Relief Society. She is survived by her children: Kenneth
(Margie) Becraft and Cheryl Ann Larson both of Roy; nine grandchildren, 21
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, her sister Mildred
Mickey (Glen) Fox, of Roy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
2 daughters and brothers Lyman and Kenneth. The family would like to express
their thanks to the staff for the care given to their mother at Heritage Park
Care Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 11
a.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West. Friends may call on
Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to
