MISHAWAKA \endash Mrs. Ellen R. Kronewitter, 71, of 118 Monmoor, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She became ill shortly before being admitted to the hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1906 in Warsaw and had lives here for 55 years, coming from Warsaw. She was employed for 21 years at Miles Laboratories in Elkhart, until retiring 10 years ago.



On June 30, 1931 in LaPorte, as Ellen R. Becraft, she married Herman K. Kronewitter, who survices. Also surviving are two sons, Devon of Elkhart and Carl of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Lois) Grotzol of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Bolin of Mishawaka and Mrs. Luther Young of Urbana, Ind.; and two brothers, Leonard Becraft of Edwardsburg and Louie Becraft of White Pigeon.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. John M. Morris of Gary will officiate, and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Mrs. Kronewitter was a member of the St. Joseph County Section of the Socialist Labor Party for 46 years.
