Lois B. Beecroft, 97, of Downers Grove, IL, formerly of Venice, FL, passed away on April 29. Born in Chicago, IL on April 7, 1910, she was a long time resident of Elmhurst, IL prior to moving to Venice in 1974. In 2005, she moved to Downers Grove. Lois was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Venice United Church of Christ and the 1st Congregational Church in Elmhurst. Survivors include her son, Michael (Peggy) of Plymouth, MI; four grandchildren: Robert J. (Cathy) of Downers Grove, Kim Oliva of Villa Park, IL, Ron J. (Tina) of Elmhurst, Brandi of Canton, MI; four great-grandchildren: Christopher and Jeff Oliva both of Villa Park, Barbara and Tami Beecroft both of Downers Grove. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. on Friday, May 4 at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2801 Fruitville Rd., Suite 250, Sarasota, FL 34237. Lois Beecroft, 97, Downers Grove, Ill., formerly of Venice, died April 29, 2007.
A graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Venice Memorial Gardens. Farley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Chicago, on April 7, 1910, she was a longtime resident of Elmhurst, Ill., prior to moving to Venice in 1974.
In 2005 she moved to Downers Grove.
Lois was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Venice United Church of Christ and the First Congregational Church in Elmhurst.
Survivors include her son, Michael and wife, Peggy of Plymouth, Mich.; four grandchildren, Robert J. and wife, Cathy of Downers Grove, Kim Oliva of Villa Park, Ill,, Ron J. and wife, Tina of Elmhurst, Brandi of Canton, Mich.; four great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jeff Oliva, both of Villa Park, Barbara and Tami Beecroft, both of Downers Grove.
