BECRAFT Joseph H. Age 75, of Horseheads, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Joe was born January 2, 1930, a son of the late Myron and Ann Davies Becraft. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Dolores Bernabei Becraft; children, with their spouses, Denise and Wayne Hooey of Elmira Heights, Jean Becraft of Elmira, Jacqueline and Rick Goodrich of Lowman, and Joseph and Julie Becraft of Elmira; grandchildren, Jason Becraft, Jeremy and Amanda Hooey, Richard James Woodward III, Eric and Ryan Goodrich, Joseph Becraft, Janet and Zack Jaynes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Tony Rubino of Towson, MD and Gertrude and Joe O'Beirne of Lady Lake, FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Ralph Franchi of Big Flats, Marilyn and John Scheepsma of Elmira, and Lillian Becraft of Macon, GA; several great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by his brother Myron Becraft. Joe was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a retired sheet metal worker, having worked with Local #112. Joe was an avid hunter and member of several hunting clubs. He was also a member of the American Legion Clarence Oliver Post #154. Family and friends are invited to attend a service at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery Columbarium on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. The columbarium is located inside the Mt. Zoar Street entrance. Joe's family would like to thank the Chemung County Nursing Facility 5th floor nursing staff for their dedication and loving care given to Joe during his stay at the facility. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.
